This role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial regulations to help the organization make informed business decisions. Core responsibilities
- Record and track financial data: Accurately record all financial transactions, manage accounts payable/receivable, and perform general ledger analysis.
- Prepare financial reports: Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Manage budgets and forecasts: Develop budgets, forecast financial trends, and monitor cash flow.
- Handle tax compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and advise on tax-related matters.
- Conduct audits: Perform internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Provide financial advice: Advise management on financial strategies, cost-saving measures, and other ways to improve profitability.
- Stay updated on regulations: Keep up-to-date with all financial policies, accounting principles, and government regulations.
