Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Record all financial transactions in the accounting software or ledger.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate and analyze various financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets.
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
Prepare financial forecasts based on historical data and industry trends.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling statements.
Oversee accounts receivable by invoicing clients, tracking payments, and managing collections.

Tax Compliance: Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
Stay updated on tax regulations and changes that may impact the organization.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Audit and Compliance: Assist in internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations.

Financial Software and Tools: Proficiently use accounting software and other financial tools.
Recommend and implement improvements to financial systems.

Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide guidance on financial matters.
Effectively communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ethical and trustworthy conduct, with a commitment to confidentiality.
