Role Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for migrating and providing service support for our global finance teams to ensure effective data quality & auditing, training, and knowledge transfer on Workday key concepts. The role requires effective troubleshooting and defect resolution of issues that arise in Workday and any downstream integrations. Workday modules include - managing the end-to-end Customer Support function ensuring that efficient processes and controls are in place across invoicing, progress claim and operations support functions. The Customer Support Team play a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting the Operations Team most importantly ensuring that documentation moves efficiently through the business and ultimately that accurate invoice generation occurs on time.
Key Responsibilities- Team: actively contribute to the team by contributing in meetings and organized activities,
fostering a welcoming and inclusive culture, supporting the team.
- KPIs: ensure SLAs relating to timely invoice and progress claim generation, invoice accuracy,
paperwork accuracy, time sheet accuracy, PRs processed on time, travel booked within
policy etc. are met.
- Process: regularly review and update systems and processes to identify and embed
efficiencies, ensure standard work is up to date.
- Reporting: support the development and implementation of daily management, support the
standardization and automation of reporting across the Customer Support function.
- Forecasting and budgeting: identify and highlight risks or opportunities relating to Service
contract and D&C revenue generation to the Customer Support Leader.
- Stakeholder management: establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal
and external stakeholders and have a customer focus in all interactions.
- Ad hoc: any other reasonable request relating to the operation of the Customer Support
Team.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Commerce graduate/master’s with reputed university.
- 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the
following: work experience, training, Education.
Key Skills- Self-Starter: Proactive and Agile. Should be a self-starter and self-motivated.
- High on Concepts: Should possess and demonstrated strong accounting concepts.
- Customer Focus: Strong Customer Service Focus
- Communication: Effective communication with diverse audiences (executives, process owners, IT teams). Clear articulation of process changes and benefits.
- Risk Management: Mitigating risks related to process deviations, compliance, and security. Implementing controls and monitoring.
- Collaboration: Working across functions, regions, and business units. Building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: MS office proficiency especially MS Excel application
- Others: US GAAP and/or IFRS knowledge. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Proven professional with understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems. Hands on experience with end to end of process knowledge including documentation and assessment of design and operating effectiveness of controls. Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the Company including those outside of the accounting function. A proven track record in meeting deadlines and working collaboratively as part of team.
Demonstrated
leadership capability and a strong desire to advance in your career through stretch
assignments and personal growth. Intimate working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
(especially Excel) and tech savvy to enable adoption of new software tools.
