Job Summary

The Accountant will oversee daily financial operations of the clinic, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting activities. This role involves managing billing, insurance claims, financial reporting, and maintaining proper financial records within a healthcare/clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

2. Clinic Billing & Insurance

  • Handle patient billing, invoicing, and collection processes.
  • Process insurance claims and follow up on approvals, rejections, and pending payments.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies, TPAs, and billing staff to ensure correct claim submissions.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Manage vendor payments, petty cash, and supplier reconciliations.
  • Track receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and maintain aging reports.
  • Review daily cash collections, POS transactions, and deposit reports.

4. Compliance & Record Keeping

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation in accordance with healthcare and accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and prepare VAT returns.
  • Assist internal/external auditors during financial reviews.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Support in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
  • Analyze clinic expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide financial insights to management.

6. Coordination & Administration

  • Work closely with the clinic manager, reception, and billing department to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Review doctor commissions, payroll inputs, and overtime calculations.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures for the clinic.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience; clinic/healthcare sector experience is mandatory or highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance procedures, and healthcare financial practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or clinic management systems).
  • Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations (if applicable).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
