Accountant – Scaffolding / Construction

Shahzad Scaffolding Trading LLC, engaged in the rental and sale of scaffolding, is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, project costing and tax compliance, and to support management with accurate and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting including payables, receivables, general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare project-wise costing and profitability reports for scaffolding rental and sales.
• Prepare and review customer quotations for scaffolding rental and sales as required.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash/bank records.
• Prepare monthly MIS and management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, aging reports).
• Ensure proper recording of inventory related to scaffolding materials.
• Manage VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including calculations, workings, return filing and FTA portal tasks.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation (soft and hard copies) for all financial and commercial records including invoices, LPOs, quotations and contracts.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and support external auditors as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related field.
• ACCA Finalist / CA Inter preferred.
• 3–5 years of UAE experience in accounting.
• Experience in construction / scaffolding / contracting sector is required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP and accounting software such as Xero / QuickBooks (or similar).
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines and handle a busy environment.
• Willing to work Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: AED 3,000 – 5,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications).
• Benefits: Company visa and medical insurance as per UAE law.
• Full-time role with a 6-month probation period.
