Job Summary:
The Direct Tax Accountant is responsible for managing all direct tax-related compliance, assessment, and reporting activities. This role ensures accurate calculation, filing, and payment of income tax, TDS, and other statutory obligations in accordance with prevailing tax laws.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, and companies.
- Compute advance tax and ensure timely payment.
- Handle quarterly and annual TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) return filings (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
- Verify TDS deductions and reconcile with Form 26AS.
- Ensure compliance with all direct tax deadlines and statutory requirements.
2. Assessments and Audits
- Assist in preparation and submission of documents for income tax assessments, scrutiny, and appeals.
- Coordinate with statutory and tax auditors during audits.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for tax audits (Form 3CD, etc.).
3. Tax Planning and Advisory
- Support in year-end tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings within the legal framework.
- Keep updated with changes in Income Tax laws, notifications, and circulars.
4. MIS and Reporting
- Maintain records of all tax filings and communications with authorities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports for management.
- Support in preparation of financial statements from a tax perspective.
5. Liaison and Coordination
- Interact with external consultants, Chartered Accountants, and tax authorities.
- Handle responses to notices or queries from the Income Tax Department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance)
- Experience: 2–10 years of experience in direct taxation and 4-10 years in accounting
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and related compliances
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar)
- Experience in using Income Tax utilities, TRACES, and e-filing portal
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in handling tax computations for multiple entities.
- Exposure to transfer pricing or international taxation (added advantage).
- Prior experience in dealing with tax assessments or departmental notices.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
