Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounting Revenue Manager is a key leader in Diversified Energy’s revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate, GAAP-compliant recognition, billing, reconciliations, and month-end closing across revenue streams.
Special focus to be placed on:

Administer monthly revenue close: journal entries, revenue accruals, account reconciliations and internal reporting

Analyze and interpret monthly results, then communicate issues and variances to leadership.

Understand differences in accruals and actual results and partner with others in the organization to improve the accuracy of accruals through process improvement.

Analyze and interpret oil and gas contracts for proper ASC 606 recognition.

Maintain and document standard billing processes.

Oversee cash application; manage write-offs, credit notes, unapplied cash.

Liaise with field teams, sales ops, legal, and third parties.

Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and SOX controls; support internal and external audits.

Retain audit evidence and maintain readiness for acquisitions integrations.

Partner with Accounting, IT, Production, and Revenue Ops to recommend tools and reporting enhancements.

Introduce efficiencies and scalable processes.

Collaborate cross-functionally to support field production targets.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.

CPA certification strongly preferred.
-
5–7+ years in accounting or finance, preferably within midstream, oil & gas.

Public accounting experience or Big 4 background is a plus.

Minimum 3 years managing a small team.

Deep understanding of GAAP & ASC 606 revenue guidance.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to finance and field teams.

Proactive, organized, deadline-driven, with continuous improvement mindset.

Proficiency in SQL is preferred

Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Hyperion is preferred
