We're seeking a professional with 2–5+ years of accounting experience in construction or restoration environments, along with some leadership experience. The right candidate will be adept at handling job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, subcontractor invoicing, and project-level financial oversight while upholding meticulous recordkeeping and robust internal controls.

- Lead day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, job costing, and general ledger oversight
- Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end close procedures with complete financial statement preparation
- Create and uphold internal controls, accounting procedures, and organizational best practices
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and account reconciliation workflows
- Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting documents
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain precise job costing, billing accuracy, and proper documentation
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to boost efficiency and precision
- 2–5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in construction, restoration, or similar project-focused sectors
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience
- Solid grasp of job costing principles, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing procedures, and project accounting workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation)
- Experience using accounting platforms (Sage 100 Contractor is a plus); knowledge of industry-specific tools like DASH, Xactimate, or Encircle is beneficial
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, with proven capacity to juggle competing priorities in dynamic settings
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across all departments
- Unwavering dedication to accuracy, confidentiality, and deadline adherence
