Job Overview:
The Accounts Head will be responsible for leading the finance and accounts function, overseeing the company’s entire accounting operations, financial planning, compliance, and reporting. The role involves managing a team, ensuring statutory compliance, finalizing accounts, and providing strategic financial insights to management for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:1. Financial Management & Finalization
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Handle finalization of accounts, balance sheet preparation, and P&L review.
- Ensure timely closure of books and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct internal financial analysis and report key variances to management.
2. Taxation & Compliance
- Manage direct and indirect taxation — including GST, TDS, and Income Tax for both company and directors.
- Review and ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
- Prepare and respond to departmental notices (GST, PF, PT, Income Tax, etc.) and handle related assessments.
- Ensure statutory compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Audit & Coordination
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and consultants.
- Ensure timely completion of audits and address audit observations promptly.
- Maintain documentation and reconciliation for audit readiness.
4. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in coordination with management.
- Monitor and control expenses as per approved budgets.
- Provide inputs for cost optimization and financial efficiency.
5. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead and mentor the accounts team for daily operations and process improvements.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and vouchers.
- Allocate work, set timelines, and ensure adherence to reporting schedules.
6. Cash Flow & Bank Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and ensure proper fund management.
- Oversee banking operations, vendor payments, and receivables follow-ups.
- Manage payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
7. Strategic & Management Support
- Provide financial insights and reports for management decisions.
- Support in company expansion, investment, and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure financial data confidentiality and ethical accounting practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA / CMA (Preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in accounting and finance, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, PT, and statutory compliances.
- Proficient in Tally ERP / SAP / accounting software.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle deadlines effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
