About the Role

Zadig & Voltaire is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist / Staff Accountant to support the North America Finance team. The ideal candidate is a detail-driven professional with a strong background in finance, accounting, and retail fashion. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to key financial processes and collaborating closely with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Processing and paying vendor invoices
• Managing the corporate credit card and expense reports
• Maintaining financial records and reports
• Performing account reconciliation
• Completing month-end close for respective areas
• Working closely with the Finance Controller on ad-hoc tasks, reporting, internal controls, and other projects
• Processing vendor invoices using Sage accounting system and Esker accounts payable automation software
• Paying vendor invoices manually and using Kyriba payment system
• Vendor management including creating new vendors, responding to vendor inquiries, and investigating vendor account discrepancies
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, intercompany allocations, and other activity
• Providing reports and analysis of operating expense activity
• Performing monthly balance sheet and vendor reconciliations
• Responding to information requests and assisting with audits
• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal reporting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting

Required Skills

• An excellent team player that will liaise and effectively collaborate with colleagues, other departments, Group Finance team and outside providers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Detail-oriented and results-focused to be able to complete the projects accurately and efficiently
• Well organized with ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Advanced Excel skills are required
• Experience with Esker, Kyriba, and Sage is a plus
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in a retail environment is a plus

Pay range and compensation package

Salary: Up to $80,000
