About the Role
Findlay Subaru is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to lead our Subaru Trade-Up Advantage program. This position operates directly out of the service drive, engaging customers during their service visits to identify trade-in opportunities, acquire used vehicles, and create an exceptional ownership experience for Subaru drivers.
You will be the bridge between the Service Department and the Sales Team—educating guests on their personalized Trade Up options, appraising vehicles, and supporting customers through the trade-in process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage service customers to present and explain Subaru’s Trade Up Advantage program.
- Identify trade-in opportunities and assess customer interest in upgrading to newer Subaru models.
- Perform on-the-spot vehicle walkarounds and initial appraisals.
- Work closely with the Used Car Manager and Sales Team to facilitate smooth vehicle acquisitions and complete sales.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, appraisals, and acquisition outcomes.
- Deliver a professional, friendly, and transparent customer experience.
- Meet or exceed monthly acquisition, appointment, and conversion goals.
- Stay knowledgeable about current Subaru incentives, inventory, and Certified Pre-Owned offerings.
Qualifications:
- Prior automotive sales, service lane, or appraisal experience preferred (but not required).
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to approach customers confidently in a busy service drive environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn Subaru systems and processes.
