Currently, Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a qualified entry level individual for a Full-time permanent position with Spectrix contributing to High-throughput in-vitro screening and bioanalytical support at our client’s site located in Groton, CT. The individual will work with the Discovery Quantitative Analytical group in ADME sciences within the Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, and Metabolism (PDM) department. The position will focus on providing weekly execution of high-capacity in vitro ADME and molecular properties screens, and supports analytical workstreams driving early drug discovery.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sample preparation using client-supplied protocols
• In vitro assay conduct using client-supplied protocols
• Operation of laboratory equipment and automation
• Data review and processing according to client-supplied protocols
• Upload of data into client database and delivery of results to multiple groups
• Maintenance of instrumentation and consumables inventory

JOB EXPECTATIONS

• Present on-site Monday through Friday during core business hours (9am to 3pm).
• In vitro assays conducted per weekly schedule/cadence.
• Assay samples analyzed following completion of experiment.
• Analytical methods developed within 24 hrs. from receipt of compounds and uploaded to client database.
• Assay results reviewed and communicated within 24 hrs. from bioanalytical run completion.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry or Chemistry with 0-2 years of experience.
• Extremely well organized with a high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
• Experience with operating and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation/automation.
• Ability to rapidly familiarize with various equipment, instrumentation and software; rapid learner.
• Ability to schedule and coordinate multiple activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a high-throughput environment with tight timelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
