Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting the academic and personal growth of students. This role involves engaging with students in a supportive manner, implementing effective teaching strategies, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
Responsibilities
Transportation Duties (Approx. 1–2 hours daily):
- Safely operate a center vehicle to pick up children from designated schools and transport them to the center.
- Ensure children are accounted for during pick-up and drop-off using attendance procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws and center transportation policies.
- Communicate any transportation issues promptly to the Program Director
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities including homework help, arts and crafts, games, and enrichment.
- Support positive behavior guidance strategies in alignment with center policies
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Assist with snacks, transitions, and daily routines.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding child behavior, progress, and needs.
Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
- Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
- Skills in classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development are critical for success in this role.
- Ability to pass background checks per state licensing regulations.
- Experience in tutoring, sports coaching, or theater can be advantageous.
