Job Title: AGM – Operations / Plant Head

Job Purpose:

To lead, plan, and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, dispatch, and manpower management in order to achieve business objectives related to productivity, cost, delivery, and quality, while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

· Plan, organize, and control daily manufacturing activities to achieve production targets.

· Ensure optimum utilization of men, machines, and materials.

· Monitor production performance and take corrective actions for deviations.

· Implement lean manufacturing techniques and process improvements.

· Oversee Welding, pressing, and assembly operations.

2. Quality Assurance

· Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO/TS/IATF).

· Coordinate with QA team to reduce rejections, rework, and customer complaints.

· Drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective & preventive actions.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

· Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.

· Monitor equipment health and coordinate with the maintenance team for minimal downtime.

· Support implementation of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).

4. Manpower Management

· Lead and develop the production team including supervisors, engineers, and operators.

· Ensure adequate training and skill development of workforce.

· Foster a culture of discipline, safety, and teamwork on the shop floor.

5. Cost Control & Productivity

· Optimize production cost by reducing wastage, improving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and controlling utility expenses.

· Review production efficiency reports and take actions for improvement.

· Implement cost-saving and value engineering initiatives.

6. Planning & Coordination

· Coordinate with PPC, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.

· Ensure smooth flow of materials and timely delivery to customers.

· Support new product development and trial runs.

7. Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with all statutory and environmental norms.

· Drive safety awareness and conduct regular safety audits and training.

8. MIS & Reporting

· Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

· Analyse KPIs such as OEE, rejection %, delivery performance, and manpower productivity.

· Report key issues and improvement actions to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production

· Experience: 15–18 years in sheet metal or automotive manufacturing.

Skills Required:

o Strong leadership and team management.

o Knowledge of Press Shop, Welding, Tool Room, Maintenance.

o Exposure to Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and ISO/IATF systems.

o Good communication and analytical skills.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
