Agricultural Engineer

Experienced Agricultural Engineer (Nutrients & Fertilizer)

- This role involves the development and implementation of strategies to promote the products that maximizes crop yields while ensuring environmental sustainability.

- You will work closely with our Research & Development team in designing and optimizing fertilizer formulations, develop precision nutrient application techniques and to provide technical support to farmers and agronomists.

- You will play a crucial role in contributing to the company’s goal of transforming agriculture through cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:

Ø Conduct research and analysis to develop innovative fertilizer formulations and nutrient management strategies tailored to different crops and conditions

Ø Collaborate with the research and development team to design and optimize fertilizer products, including controlled-release fertilizers and specialty blends

Ø Provides technical support and guidance to farmers, agronomists and sales team on proper nutrient management practices, including fertilizer selection, application rates and timing

Ø Conduct field trials and experiments to evaluate the performance of different fertilizer formulations and application techniques

Ø Monitors and assesses soil nutrient levels, plant nutrient uptake, and crop health to optimize fertilizer recommendations

Ø Stay updated on the latest advancements in nutrient management , fertilizers and precision agriculture technologies

Ø Collaborate with external partners, including universities, research institutions and fertilizer suppliers, to leverage knowledge and resources

Ø Develop training materials, technical guides and educational resources on nutrient management for internal and external stakeholders

Ø Participate in industry conferences, workshops and events to share knowledge and contribute to the advancement of agricultural engineering practices

Qualifications:

Ø Male

Ø Age NOT more than 35 years

Ø Holds a valid educational certification in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Soil Science or related field, that is duly authenticated by the Ministry of Interiors in the UAE

Ø Proven 5 years UAE experience in agricultural engineering, with specific focus on nutrient and fertilizers

Ø In-depth knowledge of plant nutrients, soil fertility and nutrient management principles

Ø Familiarity with a wide range of fertilizer types, including traditional and specialty formulation

Ø Strong understanding of precision agriculture techniques, including variable rate application and sensor-based nutrient monitoring systems

Ø Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for interpreting agronomic data

Ø Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex agricultural challenges and develop practical solutions

Ø Experience in handling liaison work at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change will be an advantage

Ø Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders

Ø Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Ø Experience in conducting field trials and experimental research is desirable

Ø MUST have a valid UAE driving license and knowledgeable on UAE streets

Ø Should have a good work ethics, hardworking and a team player

Language Requirement:

Ø Fluency in English is required; Arabic language is an advantage
