Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Head / Data Scientist who can lead the integration of AI, machine learning, and data-driven solutions into our academic content ecosystem—including both digital content (games, videos, interactivities, LMS) and print content (books, assessments, curriculum assets).
The ideal candidate will work closely with curriculum experts, SMEs, designers, and the tech team to build intelligent systems that improve content quality, automate processes, and enable personalized learning experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesAI: AI Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development and implementation of an AI roadmap for academic content.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI in content creation, QC, tagging, assessment, and analytics.
- Build and manage AI workflows that support both digital and print academic products.
Data Science & Machine Learning
- Create models for:
- Automated content tagging
- Question classification
- Difficulty grading
- Learning analytics
- Personalised learning pathways
- Automated feedback and evaluation for subjective answers
- Develop NLP-based tools for content summarization, rewriting, curriculum mapping, and learning outcome alignment.
- Build data pipelines for content analytics and usage insights from LMS.
Content Automation
- Develop AI/ML systems that:
- Auto-generate question banks
- Identify conceptual gaps
- Provide content improvement recommendations
- Support digital asset generation (games, animations, microlearning)
- Improve quality checks using rule-based and AI-driven accuracy validation.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work with product and engineering teams to integrate AI models into the LMS.
- Support academic teams in adopting AI-based tools.
- Guide the digital content team to enhance interactive content using AI.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong background in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and data analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, HuggingFace, LangChain, or equivalent ML/NLP frameworks.
- Prior experience in EdTech, academic publishing, learning analytics, or AI for education (strongly preferred).
- Understanding of Bloom’s taxonomy, curriculum standards (CBSE/IB/Cambridge), assessment design, and pedagogy.
- Ability to convert academic requirements into AI tools and working solutions.
- Experience working with LMS platforms, content tagging frameworks, and data processing pipelines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s/PhD in Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related fields.
- Experience leading AI teams or projects.
- Familiarity with GenAI and LLM-based tools for content creation.
