Job Title: Air Import Customer Service Executive – CHA Background

Role Overview
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Air Import Customer Service Executive with a strong CHA (Customs House Agent) background. The ideal candidate will manage import shipment coordination, documentation, customs procedures, and seamless communication with customers, airlines, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo clearance and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete Air Import documentation including Master & House AWB, Bill of Lading, delivery orders, and checklists.
- Manage customs clearance activities through ICEGATE and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with airlines, transporters, and internal operations team for timely cargo movement.
- Prepare and verify Checklists, duty calculations, and HS code classifications.
- Track and monitor shipments’ arrival, status updates, and resolve any operational issues proactively.
- Maintain and update shipment records in ERP/TMS and portals such as ODEX.
- Provide effective customer service and ensure timely responses to client inquiries and shipment updates.
- Handle D/O release, payment follow-ups, and coordination with CHA brokers for smooth clearances.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs policies, embargoes, and import regulations.
- Work closely with billing team for accurate invoicing and cost sheet preparations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Air Import processes & documentation
- Hands-on experience with ICEGATE, ODEX portals and import procedures
- Familiarity with Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, checklists
- Good understanding of CHA operations & customs regulations
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics ERP systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle time-sensitive shipments
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
Education & Experience
- Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience in Air Import Operations / CHA industry
- Knowledge of HS Codes, customs duty structure, and relevant trade compliance preferred
