Eckerd College is currently hiring for the position of Alumni Engagement Coordinator to join our advancement team at our waterfront property along the Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, in our relationship-focused community. We are searching for a dynamic individual who works collaboratively with the Director of Alumni Engagement with the planning, coordination, and execution of alumni events and related engagement programs in order to strengthen meaningful relationships between Eckerd College and its alumni.
The Annual Giving Associate will be skilled with a strong sense of initiative and demonstrated creativity in cultivating relationships. They will be a self-starter with the ability to manage simultaneous projects, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with multiple constituencies is crucial to the success of this position.

Professional growth is encouraged through involvement with Higher Education industry organizations, such as CASE and the Forum of Florida Alumni Associations.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the associate vice president for alumni engagement and annual giving and the director of alumni engagement on creative strategies to increase alumni engagement, particularly through communications.
Create and distribute digital and print communications to alumni including event invitations, the alumni newsletter, event digest and additional targeted outreach.
Produce daily content for the Alumni Engagement social media channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages along with opportunities for alumni to engage directly with Eckerd through these platforms.
Oversee alumni engagement event communication flows including invitations, registration forms, attendee management, and pre- and post-event messaging.
Manage alumni engagement web pages in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications office.
Assist with event logistics for alumni programs, including on-site support, vendor coordination, task tracking, and preparation for signature events such as Reunion Weekend and regional or virtual programs.
Assist with Annual Giving communications.
Collaborate with campus partners on programs involving alumni participation, and contribute ideas and process improvements to strengthen overall alumni engagement strategies.
Ensure consistent and timely communication with alumni by monitoring email and social media accounts.
Prepare and manage communication reporting, email marketing lists and maintain alumni information in Raiser’s Edge database.
Perform administrative and organizational tasks including event set-up, printing event name tags, updating the alumni engagement events calendar and managing the alumni business directory.
