The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in robotics architecture, motion control, safety standards, and integration with industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of comprehensive hardware, software, and controls architecture for AMR/AGV fleets.
  • Translate operational requirements into scalable, modular technical specifications and architectures.
  • Establish common technical specifications, interface control documents, and validation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to develop core platform systems.
  • Drive decisions on key components, system interfaces, and future technology upgrades.
  • Define and enforce functional safety architecture per ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13849 standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving hardware, software, and environmental interactions.
  • Analyze sensor data and system performance to optimize operations and predict maintenance needs.
  • Ensure rigorous testing, simulation, and commissioning for reliability and safety.
  • Conduct site workshops, assist with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), user training, and hyper-care support.
  • Act as liaison between engineering disciplines and manufacturing/logistics operations.

Mandatory Skills

  • Expertise in system architecture design, motion control, power management, and perception systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C++, Java), simulation tools, and AI/ML concepts for navigation.
  • Experience integrating mobile robots with WMS, industrial controls, and communication protocols (OPC UA, CAN, EtherCAT).
  • Strong knowledge of functional safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Adaptability to emerging technologies and innovative solutions.

Experience Required

  • 10+ years in robotics architecture and industrial automation.
  • Proven track record of leading AMR/AGV system design and deployment projects.
