Analytical Scientist

Carry out dissolution and HPLC/UPLC methods. Carry out GC methods. Serve as Subject Matter Expert in lab area of dissolution.

• Perform daily laboratory duties to include preparing samples, performing analysis, calculating data, recording/reporting data, performing general housekeeping in alignment with 5S standards, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Meet all quality and productivity metrics
• Perform instrument calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, recognize errors, identify root causes, and maintain excellent working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation.
• Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility; maintain ISO 17025 quality standards and accreditation for the laboratory.
• Review data, data notebooks, logbooks, and reports to ensure highest quality
• Demonstrate strong client service skills
• Proactively plan and maximize productivity
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration
• Implement operational improvements

Support and promote company policies and procedures

• 
  5+ years of relevant laboratory experience
• Experience using Dissolution and/or HPLC, UPLC laboratory instrumentation
• 4-year degree in chemistry or related scientific discipline
• Experience working within an established quality system (ISO 17025 preferred)
• Understanding of production laboratory operations
• Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills along with demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 1st Shift. with occasional overtime required. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Richmond, VA are encouraged to apply.
