We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Andrology Supervisor / Facility Manager to lead our andrology laboratory and facility operations. If you excel in fast-paced environments, have strong leadership skills, and are passionate about quality in reproductive medicine, we want to hear from you.
This role oversees lab operations, quality control, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, inventory and resource management, cross-functional collaboration, and cryogenic shipping of preserved specimens.

Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Quality Control
- Oversee all andrology laboratory procedures, including semen analysis, specimen processing, cryopreservation, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA regulations, ASRM guidelines, and other applicable standards.
- Maintain high-quality results through QC review, process validation, and corrective action.
- Manage daily calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
Staff Supervision & Training
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate all laboratory and facility staff.
- Develop and deliver training programs; conduct ongoing competency assessments.
- Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and maintain a safe, efficient, high-performing environment.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including FDA.
- Maintain accurate documentation, specimen records, and QC logs.
- Prepare for and participate in inspections, audits, and proficiency testing.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor all laboratory inventory, including reagents, media, consumables, and cryogenic supplies.
- Coordinate timely and cost-efficient ordering with vendors.
- Forecast supply needs and prevent production delays.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support donor recruitment, donor scheduling, and production planning.
- Collaborate with medical, compliance, laboratory, and client services teams.
- Provide technical expertise during clinical and operational discussions.
- Oversee overall daily operations of the facility.
Cryogenic Shipping & Specimen Management
- Manage the preparation, documentation, and shipment of cryopreserved specimens.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with FDA, New York State (NYS), Colorado (CO), and other regulations.
- Maintain shipping schedules for accurate, timely specimen delivery.
- Perform quality assurance checks on dry shippers and cryogenic containers.
- Monitor liquid nitrogen levels to support uninterrupted operations and specimen integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, reproductive sciences, medical technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in an andrology or reproductive tissue laboratory, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of sperm processing, cryopreservation, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Preferably 3+ years of sperm banking experience.
- Proven experience maintaining FDA and state regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with LIMS and digital data-tracking tools.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $90,000–$110,000 per year (based on experience)
