The Center for Analytics & Research in Transportation Safety (CARTS) at Louisiana State University invites applications for an Applications Developer 1 or 2 position.
Applications Developer 1 AND 2 Job Summary:
The Application Developer is responsible for assisting the development lead with modernizing development processes, developing and supporting enterprise full stack applications and services, and helping to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of enterprise software systems and infrastructure. This position will primarily work to enhance the software development team by automating deployment and testing workflows, aiding in the development of high quality software products, providing assistance with managing system deployments and monitoring environments, and supporting both on-premise and cloud-based resources. The role supports continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes, infrastructure automation, and secure systems administration, while collaborating with other developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to deliver reliable software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER 1
50% - Software Testing and Deployment Automation
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
Write and maintain testing framework for various applications and systems.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
Work with peers within the development team to integrate applications with infrastructure.
Provide technical support for critical issues, including on-call rotation when necessary.
Develop and maintain system and process documentation.
Ensure compliance with IT policies
40% - Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APls using .NET (Core), javascript, and other relevant technologies.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
Support other developers and business analysts in troubleshooting bugs and other application issues.
Stay up to date with current trends in web development and full stack application technologies.
10% - Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER 1
Education Level: Bachelor's degree
