Job Location: Missouri Circuit Courts
The salary reflected represents the base pay for this position and does not include any differential for time-of-service pay for state tenure.

We are recruiting to fill an Apprentice Court Clerk position to perform entry level duties in a court, which utilizes an electronic filing system. Work initially is under close supervision while the incumbent learns general office knowledge and specific court policies and procedures. Work involves responsibility for court case processing which may require the application of independent judgment and the application of statutes, policies, and regulations. Work requires frequent interaction with the public providing exceptional customer service. Work may also involve financial record keeping within an automated case management system, providing direct support for a circuit judge or associate circuit judge providing a full range of responsibilities within the division's jurisdiction.
General Duties:
Perform technical clerical work in the Civil - Associate Docketing Department which will include the
following: accept, maintain, manage, review and process documents submitted via E-filing, assign
motion and trial documents to the division clerk, make docket entries from pleadings filed and received
from within court room; schedule case filings, prepare dockets, weekly assigned in-courtroom duties for
the call docket; clear call dockets by reviewing, entering and scanning judgments, continuing cases or
issuing alias/pluries summonses. Interact with attorneys, litigants, judges, administrators, court
personnel and the general public in person and by telephone; and perform other duties as
assigned. This position may require working at off-site locations throughout St. Louis County.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in a related field or at least 60 semester hours from an institution of higher learning
Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
