The Information Technology team is a diverse group individuals that work across the globe who share the common goal of a people-first culture. We are all about process improvement, streamlining, automation and providing team members across Slalom with the right services at the right time. We are a one-stop shop for all things technology and services. The Information Technology Team is looking for an architect who will report to our Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture, focusing on the design and implementation of technology solutions that align with our Slaloms strategic goals. This person will partner with internal customers to evaluate technology strategy, organization, business applications, infrastructure, and controls.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business units, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Produce reference architectures, perform architectural assessment and gap analysis and help formulate the overall solution strategy.
  • Support growing and scaling the Enterprise Architecture practice across Slalom, including stakeholder discussions, thought leadership, offering development, coaching and mentoring junior architects.
  • Disseminate the software architecture vision and strategy across the organization in a digestible manner that promotes coherency across the business units and IT teams
  • Assist business units and IT teams with selecting the appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks for software development
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the software industry. Develop POCs (Proofs of Concept) to showcase viability
  • Conduct research and analysis on the emerging technologies and trends, and evaluate their feasibility and impact on the architecture and business

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong ability to share ideas and communicate with peers and clients
  • Willingness to be a part of high-performing team in a diverse environment, and ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Fluency in the development and use of solution architecture frameworks, patterns, and best practices to drive business transformation. Familiarity and exposure to Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies (TOGAF, COBIT, Gartner, etc.)
  • Experience in analyzing business and technology requirements to design and build scalable application architectures. Ability to explain principles of application architecture to customers using value-based frameworks
  • Knowledge of application development practices including Agile and SAFe, systems development lifecycle, and implementation of software products
  • Experience working in IT leadership roles, in multiple businesses, business domains, and industries
  • Need to have degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software, or related field
  • Need to have proven experience in software development and architecture

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $185,000-205,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Compensation will depend upon level, an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
