Architect

Job Summary:Responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing architectural designs from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements, client expectations, local authority regulations, and construction feasibility. Works closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure the architectural intent is fully realized on-site without compromising quality, timelines, or budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret project briefs and develop architectural concepts that are functionally efficient, aesthetically appealing, and compliant with client requirements and UAE regulations.
• Prepare and review all architectural drawings including plans, sections, elevations, details, and schedules ensuring technical accuracy and buildability.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior design teams to resolve interface issues and achieve fully integrated design solutions.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and method statements submitted by subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings and specifications.
• Conduct design feasibility studies considering construction methods, site constraints, and sequencing to ensure the proposed design can be executed efficiently.
• Lead authority submission processes including preparation of drawings and documents for approvals from Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and other statutory bodies.
• Develop detailed construction drawings and architectural details with a focus on joinery, façade systems, waterproofing interfaces, and interior finishing junctions.
• Inspect site works regularly to verify that construction aligns with approved drawings, identify deviations, and propose corrective measures.
• Prepare architectural RFI responses, clarifications, and technical notes for the site team to resolve design conflicts quickly.
• Conduct clash detection in coordination with BIM teams and ensure resolution before site execution.
• Review and approve samples, finishes, and colors ensuring adherence to design intent and project quality standards.
• Maintain a design change log and coordinate with the project manager for implementation of approved variations.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure material compatibility, performance, and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare as-built drawings in coordination with site teams for final submission and project handover.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8 or more years of experience, with at least 6 years in the UAE.
