Architectural Drafter

JOB TYPE: Non-Exempt

JOB LOCATION: Medford WI – Possible hybrid remote/office option

POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepare shop drawings (unit elevations and typical cross sections) on large projects for submittal; review blueprints and project specifications; enter and maintain quotes/orders for project; follow project from quote through delivery; communicate with and offer technical assistance to architects, customers and co-workers; and other duties as assigned

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project management: From preliminary consultation through delivery
Review architect’s plans and project specifications as needed
Prepare project specific shop drawings for submittal/approval
Enter and maintain quotes and orders for project
Create special drawings for production when required
Provide technical support for both architects/customers and internal team members

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

Strong organizational skills.
Strong mathematical skills.
Pleasant phone/communication skills.
Able to work and effectively communicate with customers, project teams (including engineers & designers), interoffice departments and with co-workers.
Able to manage multiple projects in different stages at any given time.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of operating CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc)
Ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications and other technical information sources.
Interest in architecture and architectural products.

EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in Architectural Design or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in window & door industry is a plus.
