Architectural Draftsman – Fit Out

Job Purpose:

The Architectural Draftsman – Fit Out is responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects. The role ensures accuracy, compliance with design specifications, and coordination with other disciplines to deliver high-quality project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed architectural and interior drawings including layouts, sections, elevations, and details for fit-out works.
• Develop and update shop drawings and as-built drawings based on design and site requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in the drawings.
• Review and interpret architectural and interior design plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs and support the design team during the execution phase.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from consultants, clients, or site conditions.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of drawings and revisions.
• Support site teams by providing technical drawings and clarifications as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in architectural drafting, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and other design software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior detailing, joinery, finishes, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
