We are seeking an Area Credit Analyst to join our growing credit and collections team! This role will support our Coastal Plains area. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, but having dotted lines to area leadership, the Area Credit Analyst will manage all credit and collections activities within assigned territories utilizing company billing, collection, and financial reporting systems.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage all credit and collections activities within assigned territories utilizing available data from company’s billing and collection systems.
  • Partner with the Area Vice Presidents and Area Customer Service Managers on achieving and reporting on all collection performances.
  • Monitors and enforces financial policies, procedures, and internal controls relating to the collection process.
  • Review, prepare, and proactive analysis of weekly collection statuses and updates.
  • Key liaison to third party collection agency.
  • Able to comfortably communicate during interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Coordinate late notice administration and maintain credit hold release within assigned territories.
  • Perform comprehensive collections outreach via outbound calls to negotiate payment resolutions and ensure timely recovery.
  • Effectively negotiate with sensitive or high dollar customers during collection or dispute resolution.
  • Monthly Budget renewals, reviews, and collections.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance or related degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate credit and collections environment.
  • Experience in retail energy and gas, specifically propane industry preferred, but not required.
  • Selected candidate must be customer service oriented, a self-starter and highly driven.
  • Advanced system skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) required.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills required.
  • Must be able to effectively overcome objections while balancing Empathy with Collections.
