Argon Welder

Job Summary:
The Argon Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding using argon gas (TIG/MIG) to join metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys using argon shielding gas (TIG/MIG).
• Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
• Ensure welds meet quality standards, including visual inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) where applicable.
• Maintain welding equipment and consumables in good working condition.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
• Collaborate with fabrication team and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues immediately to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as an Argon Welder (TIG/MIG).
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Certification in welding (e.g., ASME, AWS, or relevant local certification) is preferred.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions (standing, bending, crouching).

Working Conditions:

• Industrial/fabrication environment.
• Use of protective equipment such as gloves, helmets, and masks.
• May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Pay: QAR2,800.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
