Position Summary
Northside Charter High School seeks a creative and inspiring Art Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, design, and other mediums.

Student Engagement: Foster a classroom culture that encourages creativity, self-expression, and an appreciation for diverse artistic perspectives.

Skill Development: Teach foundational techniques and concepts in art, while encouraging students to develop their unique artistic voice.

Art Exhibitions: Organize and showcase student artwork in school-wide events and displays to celebrate creativity and achievement.

Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student progress through projects, critiques, and portfolios, and provide constructive feedback to support growth.

Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring art studio environment, ensuring proper use and care of materials and equipment.

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor's degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field.

Valid teaching certification for secondary art education (or ability to obtain certification before the start date).

Strong knowledge of visual arts techniques, history, and pedagogy.
Preferred

Master's degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field.

Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Art or organizing portfolio development for college-bound students.
