Job Description: ASO (App Store Optimization) Specialist
We are looking for a talented ASO Specialist to improve the visibility, ranking, and conversion rate of our mobile applications on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of store algorithms, and hands-on experience with ASO tools and optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research to optimize app titles, descriptions, and metadata.
- Improve app rankings and visibility on the Play Store and App Store.
- Optimize app listing elements including icons, screenshots, videos, and promotional content.
- Analyze competitors and identify opportunities for ranking improvements.
- Monitor app performance metrics such as impressions, installs, and conversion rates.
- Run A/B tests for store listing assets and keywords.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align ASO strategies with business goals.
- Track and report weekly performance updates and insights.
- Implement best practices for organic user acquisition.
- Stay updated with store algorithm changes and trends.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of ASO techniques for both iOS and Android.
- Experience with ASO tools like App Annie, Sensor Tower, MobileAction, Data.ai, KeywordTool, TheTool, etc.
- Strong understanding of keyword optimization, metadata creation, and store ranking factors.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data and create actionable insights.
- Understanding of app analytics, user acquisition funnels, and conversion rate optimization.
- Basic knowledge of graphic requirements for store assets (screenshots, icons, videos).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Preferences
- Experience working with mobile app marketing teams.
- Knowledge of paid user acquisition channels (Google Ads, Apple Search Ads) is a plus.
- Ability to create content ideas for store descriptions and promotional text.
- Strong understanding of competitor research and market trends.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, or related field.
- 1–3+ years of ASO experience (or proven track record with portfolio/case studies).
