We are looking for an Assembly Department Manager to guide our assembly team and help keep production running smoothly. Prior supervisory experience is helpful but not required — we’ll provide support and training for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day assembly operations, including assembly, finishing, and packaging
- Support and mentor team members in their work
- Ensure products meet quality standards and maintain attention to detail
- Help schedule and coordinate assembly work to meet production goals
- Track inventory for assembled and packaged items
- Identify practical ways to improve workflow and efficiency
- Support new product launches and collaborate with the product development team
- Maintain and organize assembly tools and equipment
- Analyze data on teams’ performance
- Collaborate across departments to ensure the timely delivery of products
Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on assembly or manufacturing experience
- Comfort working on the shop floor with tools and equipment
- Attention to detail and focus on product quality
- Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role
- Effective communication skills to work with different teams and staff
- Experience with wood products, hardware assembly, or similar operations is a plus
