Assistant Accountant

Beside Group is one of the biggest Retail chains in the Middle East. We have a strong family taking care of Premium brands like Diesel , Fred Perry , Pinko , Scotch & Soda , Puma , Geox , Longchamp and Aape .

The purpose of this role is to assist the Senior Accountant in day-to-day bookkeeping.

Job Reasonability:

Retail Revenue & Reporting:

• Responsible for checking daily store sales via cash, credit, gift vouchers, credit notes etc against the daily closing reports in order to ensure that sales are registered correctly.
• Responsible for posting adjustment entries in the ERP system after approval in order to correct erroneous transactions.
• Responsible for generating periodical retail sales reports in order to satisfy the requirements of the company
• management (internal) as well as the mall management (external).
• Documents filing + WHT & VAT invoices -arrangement for verification.
• Responsible for filing all kinds of documents based on the system reference no.
• Responsible for all VAT related invoices presentation during monthly/quarterly VAT return finalization.

Scanning documents for payments:

• Responsible for all payments request scanning and sending them for preparing payment request email, on a daily basis for all UAE region companies
• Form 4 & Purchases invoices payments
• Submit / receive form 4 to/from different bank.
• Reconcile suppliers’ payments against merchandise received.
• Reconcile forwarder ledgers in coordination with logistics

Archiving:

• Responsible for achieving all financial related documentation, in a systematic manner, in order to ensure that information is readily available.

Petty Cash:

• Responsible for maintaining and reconciling retail-related petty cash in order to meet the daily expenses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce
• Experience Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience within a retail company
• Specialized Training Well versed with MS Office
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of the local culture and sensitivities Knowledge of the retail business and its functions
