Job Summary:

The Assistant Accountant will support the accounting department in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial reports. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis specific to the food & beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Process invoices and manage vendor payments in a timely manner.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, including tracking payments and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Prepare and process bank deposits and ensure proper documentation.
  • Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.

General Ledger Management:

  • Post entries to the general ledger and assist in maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
