Job Overview:

As the Assistant Designer for Children's Licensed Apparel, you will play a vital role in supporting the design team to bring our licensed character clothing lines to life. Working closely with senior designers, you will assist in conceptualizing, creating, and developing designs that resonate with our target audience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children's fashion, a strong sense of creativity, and the ability to translate trends into appealing and marketable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development:

Assist in the development of creative and on-brand designs for children's licensed apparel.

Collaborate with the design team to bring concepts to life through sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings.

Research and Trend Analysis:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and industry developments.

Assist in conducting regular research to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Licensing Partner Collaboration:

Work closely with licensing partners to understand brand guidelines and ensure accurate representation in designs.

Incorporate licensed characters and themes into apparel designs in a way that resonates with our target audience.

Sample Development:

Support the creation of prototypes and samples, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Provide feedback on samples and work with the production team to address any necessary adjustments.

Product Presentation:

Assist in preparing design presentations for internal reviews and meetings with licensing partners.

Contribute creative input to marketing materials and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

1+ year of experience

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator + Photoshop

Portfolio showcasing design skills, creativity, and understanding of children's fashion.

Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Passion for children's apparel and familiarity with licensed character merchandise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
