Need Female Assistant Manager with 1 year Hospital experience.
- Assist in planning, scheduling and coordinating the rehabilitation/physiotherapy service (in-patients, out-patients, rehab gym, home/community outreach)
- Manage physical, financial and human resources for the unit: monitor budgets, resource utilisation, equipment, supplies
- Work with the manager to develop manpower plans, staffing rosters, recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews and staff development
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient throughput, wait times, therapy outcomes, utilisation of facilities
- Participate in service improvement initiatives — process optimisation, efficiency, quality improvement, audit
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical governance, accreditation standards, health & safety, equipment maintenance
- Liaise with other hospital departments (e.g., nursing, surgery/orthopaedics, critical care, discharge planning, occupational therapy) to ensure integrated patient care pathways
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental policies, protocols, standard operating procedures within the physiotherapy/rehab service
- Clinical Leadership
- Provide oversight and support to the clinical team of physiotherapists, therapy assistants, rehab aides and support staff
Patient & Service Focus
- Ensure patient-centred care and rehabilitation goals are achieved, with appropriate measurement of functional outcomes
- Contribute to developing and implementing new therapy programmes (e.g., post-surgery rehab, neuro-rehab, cardiac/orthopaedic rehab)
- Monitor patient satisfaction, feedback and ensure service is responsive, safe and of high quality
- Support home/community rehab outreach as appropriate and coordinate discharge planning with rehab services
- Mentor and coach staff, promote best practice, evidence-based rehabilitation and continuous professional development
- Participate in complex patient care, rehabilitation planning, and ensure high quality standards of care and documentation
- Ensure patients receive timely and appropriate physiotherapy/rehabilitation interventions and review outcomes for continuous improvement
