We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations in our freight forwarding division. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of logistics and shipping documentation, billing, and cost management related to freight forwarding activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices for air, sea, and surface shipments.
  • Record vendor bills related to freight, customs, transport, and handling charges.
  • Coordinate with operations and documentation teams to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on pending payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliation and monitor cash flow.
  • Maintain and verify TDS, GST input/output, and assist in monthly tax returns.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports, profit analysis, and shipment cost summaries.
  • Support audit and compliance activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the freight forwarding / logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Tally / ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with freight documents (BL, AWB, DO, invoices, etc.) is essential.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
