WHAT'S THE ROLE?


We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant Manager – Business Development to lead revenue growth initiatives and manage post-award project delivery within the events sector. The role encompasses new client acquisition, project coordination, and the ongoing management of client relationships to ensure long-term retention and satisfaction.


WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?


  • Actively promote and market shows in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 events in Riyadh. This includes conducting walking shows, meeting prospective clients, and proactively sourcing new business through cold calling and face-to-face meetings.
  • Identify, evaluate, and shortlist relevant business opportunities, providing regular reports on sales activity by sector and target event. Ensure all quarterly sales targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Accurately record all sales opportunities in the centralised CRM system, ensuring full compliance with internal governance protocols and qualification criteria.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure that bid submissions to clients are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the quality standards expected by the organisation.
  • Maintain active engagement with internal teams to guarantee projects are executed to the highest standard and meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Take ownership of client retention, aiming to achieve a minimum retention rate of 95%, while ensuring all client payments are received in full upon project completion.
  • Implement and uphold internal policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and support alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, assessing the effectiveness of governance processes and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify potential operational risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard business continuity, efficiency, and integrity.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making. This involves analysing historical cash flow data, projecting future cash needs, and providing recommendations to optimise cash flow management in the DXB LIVE division.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:


  • Bachelor Degree
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience is required in the MICE field, preferably in event production and delivery. Local KSA experience is required, with a minimum of 2 years.
  • Ability to complete reports in Microsoft Excel and create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel within the Kingdom to meet clients and attend events.
  • Ability to work additional hours depending on project demands.
