Job Title : L2 Network Specialist – Routing,

Switching, and Firewalls

Experience : Minimum 4 years (including 2 years of

relevant experience with R&S and Firewall)

Location : [Pune]

Job Description : We are looking for an

experienced L2 Network Specialist with strong expertise

in Cisco routers and switches and firewall implementation

and configuration. Handson on Fortinet firewalls and Fortimanager .

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing large-scale

networks, along with hands-on experience working with wireless controllers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage large-scale network infrastructures involving Cisco routers and switchesand Firewalls
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, etc.).
• Deploy and maintain Fortinet firewalls to secure network operations and enforce robust security policies.
• Provide advanced L2 support for network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network and security solutions into the existing infrastructure.
• Develop and document network designs, configurations, and best practices for operations and security.
• Conduct periodic audits of network configurations and recommend enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for optimization.
• Backup and Patch management
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies in networking and security.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 4 years of relevant experience working with Routing/Switching & Fortigate Firewall.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Firewall and switches implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, network design, and optimization.
• Proficiency in managing Fortinet firewalls, including policy configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with large network infrastructures in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex network challenges.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE 3 or higher, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.

• Experience with network security integration, including firewall and access control configurations.
