Assistant Manager- Demand Planning & Supply Chain

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts using sales trends, promotional plans, seasonality, and market insights.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to align forecast assumptions.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize inventory levels to ensure product availability across all channels.
• Track slow-moving and fast-moving SKUs and recommend actions.
• Manage safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies.
• Coordinate with warehousing to maintain stock health, including expiry and damage control.
• Coordinate with international suppliers and freight forwarders for timely import of products.
• Plan and schedule purchase orders based on forecast and inventory health.
• Monitor shipment timelines, customs clearance, and documentation compliance.
• Work closely with logistics teams to ensure efficient movement of goods to warehouses, distributors, and retail outlets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance related to importation, distribution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on forecast accuracy, inventory status, fill rates, and supply chain KPIs.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumption patterns.
• Recommend improvements for better operational efficiency.
• Work with Sales & Marketing on promotions, new product introductions, and demand spikes.
• Coordinate with Finance on budgeting, procurement costs, and inventory valuation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain, preferably in FMCG industry.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills; proficiency in Excel/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of import regulations and supply chain compliance (preferably in alcohol/beverage sector).
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
