Job Purpose

This position is for SH Civil - Sarlanagar Cement Works, Sedam Karnataka

Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Manager

To plan, organize, co-ordinate & monitor all civil capex jobs & maintenance jobs in Plant / Township / Mines / desalination plant, Horticulture activities entire plant and Township External roads & in addition Rural development, liaising with local villagers, Water harvesting, control water consumption Township. Water arrangement & Modifications in budgeted cost, within time frame to meet the desired improvements and satisfaction of employees & their families.

KRA1: Business Delivery to Planning, Monitoring and tracking of budget for Civil & Horticulture maintenance activities within budgeted cost, in colony with ensuring Quality of Civil Jobs, by using of minimum adequate Qty of spare and stores for civil maintenance and Horticulture activities, providing of essential services entire plant, increase survival rate of plantation during the summer.

To develop gardens and green belt area within budget.

KRA2: Civil maintenance:

• Plan & coordinate timely all the civil maintenance activities to keep the structures. Buildings, roads in good and healthy conditions in plant and colony. Organize action on emergency requirement in plant. Get the requirement identified.
• Organize & arrange resources.
• Work order preparation.
• Coordinate engineering & approval from consultant.
• Prepare estimates.
• Plan and organize execution of work.
• Inspect quality of work.
• Monitor, progress & status of the jobs.
• Railway Track maintenance, Structure stability & Budget Planning related jobs.
  
  

KRA3: Civil Capex Jobs:

• Plan, coordinate & timely execution of Capex jobs within budget allocated to meet the business objective.
• Coordinate with civil Designer, Consultant for design & approval.
• Scheduling & prioritization of activities.
• Organize implementation activities.
• Inspect regularly for quality checks.
• Monitor & progress.
• Modify schedule as per priorities/revised targets.
• Monitor the resources provided & required by contractor Organize for additional resources required.
• Organize for work in any Measurement & Bill passing.
• Coordinate with user departments.
  
  

KRA5: Cost control:

• Monitor & control all the cost of civil project & maintenance activities to avoid cost over runs. Monitor actual expenditure with budget.
• Develop cost effective designs.
• Control of manpower & over time.
• Use of items from surplus inventory.
• Monitor wastages.
• Monitor quality to avoid repetition of job. Plan use of machineries effectively. Use of spill/waste cement in work Use steel scraps.
  
  

Qualification: B. E or B.Tech in Civil Engineering
