Job Purpose:

Operations & Maintenance Management : Lead and manage operations and maintenance of Data Centers within the North region, ensuring strict compliance with SLAs for network availability. Oversee critical power, cooling, and environmental infrastructure, including generators, cooling systems, fire protection systems, grounding and earthing, transformers, rectifiers, UPS, LT panels, and switchgear (ATS, MTS, AMF, PFI, etc.)

Technical Support & Project Execution : Provide expert technical support for the planning, design, and deployment of new Data Center installations and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely execution, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure uninterrupted operations of Core Location facilities and equipment, meeting defined SLAs for availability and reliability.
  • Lead 24/7 on-site support teams for work order execution, system monitoring, and incident handling.
  • Develop, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure smooth and continuous network operations.
  • Manage vendors and external maintenance contracts (SLM), ensuring full compliance with agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Monitor performance and reliability of critical assets to minimize downtime, proactively identify risks, and recommend improvements for cost optimization.
  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering energy usage, refueling, maintenance activities (PM/CM), repairs, and vendor performance.
  • Conduct regular audits of power, cooling, and environmental systems, engaging vendors for rectification and reporting abnormalities to management.
  • Manage genset refueling operations, diesel consumption analysis, and implement cost/leakage control measures.
  • Support energy efficiency initiatives and apply conservation techniques to reduce operational costs.
  • Coordinate site commissioning, handover activities, and network equipment deployment.
  • Support vendor evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring through SLA reviews and compliance checks.
  • Ensure security management across all regional Core Locations through strict entry procedures, gate pass controls, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement when required.
  • Manage asset tracking, warranty claims, repair/return processes, and identification of End-of-Life (EOL) or End-of-Support (EOS) equipment.
  • Oversee housekeeping, site safety, and renovation requirements at Core Locations.
  • Track and manage diesel generator (DG) overhauling schedules, acceptance testing, and EOL assessments.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical/Power/Electronics). Data Centers Certifications (CDCP, CDFOM, CDCS) will be add on

Work Experience:

  • At least 2-3 Years of experience in Data Centre Facilities Operations and Planning

Skills – Generic:

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Data Centers power and cooling infrastructure.

Skills – Job Specific:

  • Expertise in Data Center – Core Locations Facilities Operations
  • Expert in Power and Cooling Infrastructure operation and maintenance
  • Ability to initiate, plan & monitor data center power and environment equipment swap projects
  • Coordination with OAS, NP Infrastructure, regional teams/vendors and equipment supplier vendors to install a new racks/equipment
  • Diversified experience with Vendor and Operator Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication & analytical skills
