    Job Description:

    Qualification & Experience:

    • Masters/BS/BA from an HEC recognized University with 3-4 years of experience in the relevant field.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Accommodate the students in their respective rooms as per the allotment and Maintain an updated list / record of hostelites of respective hostel all the time.
    • Ensure the smooth functioning of the hostel activities and to create congenial atmosphere for the hostel intimates.
    • Ensure maintenance of the hostel amenities.
    • Up keep high standard of discipline among the hostelites.
    • Maintain discipline among the staff and ensures their efficiency.
    • On occurrence of any problems, enquire the matter and report to DD Hostels and telephone followed by written occurrence report.
    • Ensure no unauthorized person/visits the hostel premises without the permission of DD Hostels.
    • Make sure that the hostelites are not involved in political/ ethnic / sectarian / narcotics and other undesirable activities including gathering of students for any unhealthy activity in the hostel.
    • Register the complaints with C&M Branch (for repair/maintenance) and ICT (for internet) and make best possible efforts to get the faults rectified.
    • Ensure cleanliness in the hostel premises all the time with special emphasis on washrooms. Schedule for cleanliness be issued and ensure through Attendant/Aya.
    • Make sure that the hostelites are well informed about all activities and decisions of the hostel management.
    • Maintain first aid box, use the medicine as per requirement and send the patients to NUST Medical Centre in time.
    • Ensures that students inside the hostel are not in possession of any banned items e.g arms, dragger, alcohol and toxic drugs etc.
    • Maintain record of Car/Motor Cycles/ Cycles of students.
    • Maintain the proper record of electric appliances fridge and cooler used by the students and they are charged for the same as per roles.
    • Ensure that the hostel remains no smoking zone.
    • Carryout inspection of block/hostel on daily basis as well as students rooms minimum twice / thrice a week and send report to DD Hostels of any authorized items recovered.
    • Issue out pass for short leave and weekends to the students as per their request and record of the same is maintained accordingly.
    • Report DD Hostels about daily events/progress in the morning and evening.
    • Maintain a proper record of the important events/activity held in the hostel.
    • Ensure that while leaving the hostel, the student has handed over the room without any damage and if there is any damage, get it priced from C&M Branch and note the same on security refund case for recovery by the Fin Dte.
    • Maintain key box through Caretakers and ensure student must hand over keys while leaving the hostel.
    • Perform any other duty as assigned by Director Administration or Deputy Director Hostels.
    • This is full time Job. Individual will remain present 24/7.

    • Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

    Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:

    • 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
    • NUST employees with less than one year service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
    • In process of pursuing a required degree.
    • Medically unfit.
    • Candidates serving in Govt departments/Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
    • Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
    • Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
