Job Purpose:

  • Overall responsibility of Assistant Manager PMO will assist the respective RCTO in overseeing all engineering related functions and progress of all engineering projects being executed by the region. Assistant Manager PMO will focus on timely execution of projects and regional goals goal in terms of scope, time, costs, and quality. This includes monitoring and controlling project progress and deliveries, and focusing on the needs and priorities of the Regional and other important project stakeholders

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting RCTO in maintaining and meeting overall regional goals, KPIs and KCIs.
  • Assisting RCTO in meeting overall regional NC Rollout Targets ensuring necessary enablement from peer departments.
  • Close co-ordination with HQ O&M, NP, NC and cost control for necessary enablement and support for operational sites related issues .
  • Assisting RCTO in strategic planning, resource planning, resource management, decision making and projects execution.
  • Liaison with Head Quarter for policy directives, general guidelines, special tasks and progress reviews.
  • Assessing and evaluating all ongoing as well new engineering projects being planned and executed in the region for ensuring quality and compliance with overall regional as well as company targets.
  • Tracking, database management and reporting of all project related activities along with the highlighting of bottlenecks and areas which need improvement.
  • Identification and solving of problems, risk management, mitigation and contingency planning to meet overall company/region objectives.
  • Enhancement and improvement in inter and intra departmental communication and coordination.
  • Supporting region in development and deployment of “Total Quality” principles and initiatives in execution of all phases of projects cycle.
  • Supporting skill development & capacity building of project teams with the focus to improve overall efficiency by enhancing key management and technical areas.
  • Monitor and support rollout and upgrade projects that contribute directly to site revenue enhancement (NPS, 4G/5G expansions, capacity upgrades), ensuring high-value sites are prioritized for faster deployment and activation.
  • Work with commercial and technology teams to align engineering activities with revenue targets, site profitability, and data/voice traffic growth.
  • Identify gaps in existing project workflows, develop process improvement plans (Lean/Kaizen), and ensure implementation of standardized PMO best practices across the region.
  • Ensure optimal budget utilization, reduction of reworks, avoidance of delays, and improvement of ROI on regional telecom infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular trainings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance project management skills, governance practices, tools usage (MS Project, Power BI, PMP standards), and technical competencies.
  • Ensure documentation of lessons learned from completed projects and integration of best practices into future planning for operational excellence.
  • Drive automation of dashboards, status trackers, revenue-impact monitoring tools, and reporting for improved decision-making and visibility to management.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelors or Equivalent Degree in Engineering is required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in similar domain.
