We’re looking for a scrappy, data-obsessed, and relentlessly curious Paid Media Assistant Manager who thrives in chaos, loves problem-solving, and delivers results under pressure. This is a hands-on role in a high-growth startup environment where you’ll own campaigns end-to-end, experiment daily, and push performance beyond what’s possible.
You’ll lead execution, mentor teammates, and help build a paid media engine that scales like wildfire.
Responsibilities:
Project Management Responsibilities
- Own cross-functional project timelines from planning through execution — ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are airtight.
- Manage communication between Paid Media, Creative, Analytics, and Merchandising to keep campaigns aligned and on track.
- Build clear briefs, status reports, and post-mortems that keep everyone informed and accountable.
- Proactively identify blockers, dependencies, and risks — then solve them before they slow momentum.
- Lead project check-ins, ensuring stakeholders have visibility into priorities, next steps, and resource needs.
- Drive process improvements to make campaign execution faster, smoother, and more scalable.
- Track deliverables and action items with precision — whether it’s media plans, creative assets, or reporting dashboards.
Team Management Responsibilities
- Lead by example — set high standards for execution, ownership, and speed.
- Coach and develop junior team members through hands-on feedback, training, and performance check-ins.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and accountability across the team.
- Delegate effectively — ensuring everyone knows their lane, owns their work, and delivers on time.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and upskilling efforts to build a stronger, more agile media team.
- Provide clear direction in fast-changing situations, helping the team prioritize and focus on what moves the needle.
- Champion collaboration and communication — breaking silos and driving alignment across departments.
Advertising Responsibilities
- Run the show on paid media — Amazon, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, Retail Media, DSPs, Programmatic — you name it.
- Keep campaigns flying: pacing, budgets, KPIs — all under your control.
- Move fast on optimizations. See a problem? Fix it. Find an opportunity? Jump on it.
- Pull and interpret data like a pro — find the story behind the numbers and use it to drive smarter growth.
- Build test plans, launch experiments, and iterate quickly to uncover what works (and what doesn’t).
- Stay ahead of the curve — new tools, new betas, new trends — you’ll be the one bringing them to the table.
- Mentor and coach junior teammates to level up execution and confidence.
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to bring bold ideas to life — and make sure they perform.
Other
- Participate in unscheduled video calls during EST business hours
- Quickly investigate and resolve issues that adversely impact performance or cause ads to stop serving during and outside normal working hours.
- Experience leading fast-paced meetings with large groups while quickly navigating excel spreadsheets, fielding questions, and taking notes to be shared with the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years managing paid media campaigns hands-on across major platforms.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior marketers.
- Reporting, Excel and data chops — you’re fluent in pivots, lookups, and performance storytelling.
- Obsession with testing, learning, and improving fast.
- Excellent communication skills — you can translate data into clear, actionable next steps.
- Resilience under pressure and excitement for the pace and challenge of startup life.
