Job Description

1. The role is responsible to lead the Quality Assurance team and implement & manage the compliance to applicable standards in quality assurance, procurement, handling, transportation and storage of raw materials and finished goods.

2. The role is also responsible to manage the product quality and coordinate effectively with all stakeholders (Farmers/suppliers, Production, and buyers) to align and execute action plan for improvement.

3. This role is also responsible for setting up, designing and managing lab with regards to work force, materials and methods.

4. To meet customers and potential customers and explain product specifications and advantages of using pasteurized egg products with regards to food safety. To meet and co-ordinate with customer’s quality team.

5. To implement various certifications including but not limited to QMS 9001:2015, FSSC 22000 and HALAL PS 3733:2022 (i.e. Documents, Audit & Other related compliances).

6. Investigate and set standards for quality, health and safety and ensure that manufacturing processes comply with standards.

To conduct pre-defined tests for all raw materials, work in process and finished goods.

7. Ensure that all quality and safety requirements are met before the product reaches customers.

8. Set product specifications in conformance to customer requirements.

9. Audit the suppliers for verifying their capabilities w.r.t. QMS and FSSC.

10. Identify, analyze and report potential non-conformities or deviations of the system and product.

11. Understand the industry, customer applications, food industry standards and GMPs to ensure we can compete on quality and food safety.

12. Develop and implement food safety practices for proper handling, preparation, storage and documentation to prevent contamination.

13. Induction of transporter capable for material and product dispatch at desired temperatures (i.e. below 4 C) for local and upcountry shipments.

Qualification

1. Knowledge:

a. Master Degree in Food Technology or Food science.

b. Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.

c. Regulatory compliance knowledge.

d. Strong knowledge of industry, products and customer needs.

e. Knowledge of quality and food safety standards.

2. Skill:

a. Numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.

b. Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills.

Experience

1. Minimum 4 – 5 years with FMCG/Food processing experience in managerial position.

2. Experience in managing a quality control laboratory within a related industry.

3. Experience in a food plant environment including compliance with applicable regulations governing the various product lines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
