Designation- Assistant Manager – Design (Structural Engineer)

Department / Function: Design & Technical

Reporting To: Senior Manager – Design

Location: Mumbai – HO

Working Days - 5 Days

Qualification -

• M.Tech / M.E in Structural Engineering (mandatory)
• B E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred at UG level)

Experience:

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering design
• E xperience in construction, steel structures, contracting, gypsum, or similar industries

Software Skills:

• Proficient in Staad Pro, AutoCAD 2D, Revit
• Familiarity with E-tab, Autodesk Robot, FEM tools
• M S Excel proficiency for design and analysis

Job Summary:

• Lead structural design efforts for Gyproc projects involving steel and cold-formed structures.
• Deliver structurally sound, optimized, and cost-efficient design outputs including calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Provide technical design support across project lifecycles, from pre-sales to execution.
• E nsure compliance with industry standards, structural integrity, and alignment with business objectives.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and detail structural components using Staad Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.
• Perform complex load, deflection, and stress calculations for hot-rolled and cold-formed structures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Indian and international design codes (IS, Eurocode, ASTM, AISI).
• Optimize structural designs for cost efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate MEP and architectural requirements.
• Create project-specific BOQs, material take-offs, and reinforcement detailing.
• Participate in site visits to assess feasibility and structural compliance of implemented solutions.
• Support documentation for regulatory approval, including technical reports, structural drawings, and calculations.
• Stay up to date with the latest design innovations, construction methods, and materials.
• Assist in developing methodologies for standard applications like windows, doors, and dynamic loads.
