Job description:
CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.
We are seeking a proactive, data-driven B2B Assistant Marketing Manager to support demand-generation campaigns, content creation, customer retention, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate has B2B marketing experience, strong project-management skills, enjoys cross-functional collaboration (sales, product, operations).
Job responsibilities:
  • Support B2B marketing strategy, define target segments, messaging and positioning.
  • Assist with marketing budget, spend planning, and market/competitive research.
  • Plan and run lead-generation campaigns and performance campaign (LinkedIn, Google ads, retargeting, email, SEO/SEM).
  • Track campaign KPIs (leads, conversions, ROI), analyse data and report insights.
  • Qualify, nurture leads, maintain CRM and hand over leads to sales.
  • Drive customer-retention and lifecycle marketing to support renewals, upsells, and engagement.
  • Create marketing collateral (case studies, decks, whitepapers, blogs, newsletters) and support go-to-market launches.
  • Ensure collateral meets brand guidelines; liaise with creative teams and agencies.
  • Support B2B events, webinars, trade shows, partner campaigns.
  • Work closely with sales, product, operations, finance and vendors for smooth execution.

Qualifications and prerequisites:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field. MBA in Marketing is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B marketing in academic sector.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation/CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Clevertap).
  • Strong digital marketing skills (Google Ads, LinkedIn, SEO/SEM, ABM).
  • Excellent analytical abilities, content-writing and editing skills.
  • Strong project management: ability to juggle multiple campaigns, vendors, events, budgets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a data-driven mindset.

Our selection process typically involves an initial screening by a recruiter, a technical assessment, and two to three interview rounds. For this role, you will have 2 Technical rounds followed by the HR round. All interviews will be conducted virtually on MS Teams.
