Key Responsibilities1. Raw Material Testing

· Conduct physical and chemical testing of raw materials (resins, pigments, solvents, additives).

· Verify COA (Certificate of Analysis) from suppliers.

· Record all test results and report non-conformities.

2. In-Process Quality Control

· Monitor batch production and conduct tests such as viscosity, pH, density, fineness, drying time, opacity, gloss & color shade matching.

· Assist production team in adjusting batches to meet required specifications.

· Identify deviations and highlight issues to QC Officer.

3. Finished Goods Testing

· Perform QC tests on final products before packing, including:

o Color shade matching

o Gloss level

o Viscosity

o Hiding/opacity

o Adhesion & film hardness

o Water and alkali resistance (where applicable)

· Approve or reject batches as per SOPs.

4. Shade Matching & Color Quality

· Support tinting and color development processes.

· Ensure consistent color quality across production batches.

· Assist in shade card and sample panel preparation.

5. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain QC logs, analysis reports, batch sheets, calibrations, and daily records.

· Ensure all documentation is updated according to ISO and internal audit requirements.

· Report daily QC activities to the QC Officer/Manager.

6. Equipment Handling

· Operate QC lab instruments such as:

o Brookfield Viscometer

o pH meter

o Spectrophotometer / Colorimeter

o Specific gravity cup

o Fineness of grind gauge

· Perform routine calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.

7. Compliance & Safety

· Ensure compliance with ISO, QA standards, and company QC policies.

· Follow all laboratory safety procedures, including PPE usage.

· Dispose of chemical waste in a safe manner.

Skills & Competencies Required

· Strong understanding of paint chemistry and formulations.

· Knowledge of QC testing methods used in decorative & industrial paints.

· Good color sense (shade matching ability).

· Analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and strong documentation ability.

· Basic computer skills (Excel, QC reporting software).

Qualifications & Experience

· Education: DAE Chemical /

· Experience: 0–2 years in paint manufacturing QC (fresh candidates can also apply depending on company policy).

· Preferred: Experience with industrial or decorative paint QC testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs45,000.00 per month
