Volvo Cars Bend, a subsidiary of Time Auto Group, is looking for an Assistant Parts Manager to join our growing team!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm.

Compensation: Salary + Commission

Qualifications:

  • 1 year parts department experience, management preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
  • Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
  • Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).

Responsibilities

  • Assists in training and motivating parts staff, coordinates advanced training when required by factory or succession planning.

  • Assists Parts Manager in pricing guides, weekly stock orders and inventory functions and electronic parts files.

  • Meets or exceeds objectives received by Fixed Ops Director.

  • Places daily parts orders, stocks incoming orders, complete parts returns, process special order parts.

  • Serves as a backup for parts manager.

  • Compiles stock control reports, determines stock supply and need for replenishment.

  • Provides necessary information to the warranty department for prompt filling and return of parts.

  • Returns parts and cores as needed and ensures credits received.

  • Assists in preparing and performing annual parts inventory. Follows up with any outstanding items or issues.

  • Fill in for front and back counters as well as telephone coverage.

  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes complaints, periodic quality control checks and enforcement of quality control throughout department

  • Works closely with Parts Manager to improve overall profitability of the fixed ops departments and communicates with parts personnel to ensure availability of needed parts.

  • Checks on progress of orders, communicates with customers, factory, techs and colleagues as needed.

  • Maintains parts area to OSHA and OEM standards and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.
